20 Most Important Lessons From Old Testament

The Old Testament of the Bible contains many important and influential stories. Perhaps the most impactful of these are the stories of Moses, the Ten Commandments, the Garden of Eden and the Great Flood. Moses was the leader of the Israelites who led them out of bondage in Egypt and received the Ten Commandments, which are widely viewed as the foundations of ethical law, from God on Mount Sinai. The story of the Garden of Eden speaks to the origins of sin, while the Great Flood provides an example of God’s wrath. Other equally important stories include the patriarchs and prophets, the many books of wisdom literature, and the teachings of Jesus. Together, these stories offer timeless lessons, provide guidance, and represent universal truths.
