K. Stamper Project 4 part 9

For the cover page, the only thing I really messed with was the leading on the summary paragraph.

For this first spread, I changed the color of the black and white image to be true black and white and not the sepia version I had before. I also got rid of the color blocking and added in the hand motif I had mentioned in my other post. To make the quote stand out better, I also changed the color of the text to keep it integrated into the block of text while also standing out.

For this next spread, I made the image the transitonal black and white into color that I had in my original concept. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it not that I’ve implemented it. I changed my color blocking to also be more organic like the shapes of the natural pearls in the center photo. I continued with the hands in this spread as well, as I want it to be a theme throughout the piece.

This spread I made the color blocking the shapes of the jewels in the bracelet image above. I also have the hands connecting in this spread as it sums up the article and its themes.

For the back cover, I mostly just changed the color palette and added the image links. I felt that there was a lot of blank space, so I just added more hands in the top right corner, but I think I’m going to try to find something else to put there because I don’t like it right now.

For this ad template, I built upon my previous idea. I made the color blocking more organic as well as adding more overlapping elements with the line drawings. I also made the “legacy” bigger to help make a more clear hierarchy.
